I've been using <a href="http://www.mevio.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.mevio.com</a> to create a channel of my podcasts and then subscribe to that in iTunes, but it's not ideal yet. Ben, re. Podcast application, have a look at http://getxcast.com/ . It looks promising and has iTunes integration as well.
