twitter authority search on the wire

Scoble’s right about Loic being wrong (although search by important people only is really useful at times, esp when trying to identify influentials in certain categories eg banking, finance, travel etc) I do agree with Loic when he says : “Brands do pay attention and already start understanding the difference.” But I dont think Scoble is necessarily right, well he maybe is at the top level being study the meta-data, but I just wish there was a way to auto-categorise/tag, create topics on the fly around things, products, companies, events, news, buzz, locations, people, etc.

What Scobe wants :So, what’s a better idea? Study the metadata that really matters.” He looks at below data points :

- On Twitter : Number of retweets, favourites, inbound links, clicks of that tweet

- On FriendFeed : Number of likes, comments, resharing, clicks, velocity of commenting and liking of the tweet (that has been pulled into friendfeed)

Tonite I’m Watching : Man on Wire, 8/10 on imdb; “A look at tightrope walker Philippe Petit’s daring, but illegal, high-wire routine performed between New York City’s World Trade Center’s twin towers in 1974, what some consider, “the artistic crime of the century.” Andy G of Aussie idol reminded me to see it, well via his blog.
