It’s always nice to dream about well designed products. The U-Boat watch has been part of the bigger is better trend in watches, with the Uboat dwarfing any barely visible on the wrist Rolex, apart from the new Deepsea (still only 43mm vs the 53-55mm Uboats). Uboat is worn by Arnie and Sylvestor who like their watches, previously Panerais. But watches keep getting bigger… and the Uboat is currently the biggest in the house with brand cache. Some Uboat pix over on my flickr.
Good thing about U-Boat too, is if u earn an income half the models pictured ere can be had for under $2k although that is US dollars. More for the chrono and gold tipped versions. There is one retailer on the gold coast according to the Uboat website hehe, so u can wear these watches downunder, and prob most places around the world and not be wearing the standard Rolex/Breitling/Cartier/Tag/Oris/Omega/IWC/Chopard paradigm. And the Uboat looks kickass on the wrist which guarantees lots of comments.
Not that there is anything wrong with those brands : But I gotta say I like the upncoming watches - from Hublot (esp bigbang king line), Graham (the chrono diver) and U-Boat - that are driving innovation in design, size and materials like carbon fibre (which i luv in a watch) used.
U-Boat is also the best priced, the biggest sized, Italian designed, and I like the colours - black, whites, yellows always make a good watch. Good fonts too. OK I’m running, nuff dreaming; I’ll pick up my U-Boat at a later date post rapid value creation’n'harvest.
