So yday I binged, in between coffee newspapers and beach running on probably the most highly rated TV show on IMDB : 9.6/10: Freaks and Geeks circa 99/2000, which one of the commenters rightly refers to as the best high school TV show ever. It’s like a turn of century, 18 eps younger Dazed and Confused. I was introduced to Freaks’ by those smarter than me, as it’s helmed on the back end by Apatow productions who with his Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jason Segel troupe went onto to do Superbad, 40yr Virgin, Pineapple Express, Knockedup, Sarah Marshall etc
In between that I checked out some great UK TV - Hustle - discussion on its 5th season @ TV.com, which has just started - S5E1 + S5E2 ere, so thats 14 gigs + 4 seasons I’ll need to catchup on. (i really need an invite to a british TV torrent tracker any1?:) Wouldnt surprise me, if Hustle is where they got the concept for Leverage- basically modern Robin Hood story.
Hustle is brilliant though in that, while yes characters/plots are great (more thought thru than Leverage) : It exploits beautiful London industrial design and architecture.
Everything’s penthouse suites, art museums etc. (Lets face it is there more impressive museum physically anywhere in the world than the Tate ?)
Also cant get enough of another UK show - Demons : Older UK Gossip Girl meets Buffy/True Blood.
Love it. Ok im on The Hustle, foot fetish’n'all off to Rye. Not wearing/driving the below, yet.
