I’ve been enjoying my discovery of Uk shows that aren’t targeted at the Gossip trying to be younger than they are Grrl crowd, or the made for 16 year old machinations of Vince and Arie on Entourage. UK seem to do the 30 something early mid life crisis show about the tensions simmering below the surface, the secrets and the temporality of the modern relationship. I’ve already pumped up #FreeAgents, have no idea if any1 reading this blog has even seen an episode - by the makers of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, which was enough for me to grab. What I like about these shows, is they are realistic, well semi-realistic, in an aspirational my cheating new $50m pounds husband way realistic.
Let’s face it alot of the new indie creativity emerges from the digital box. And when it comes to the UK prob like Australia there arent heaps of exec producer types dolling out madonna townhouse pounds to make that first slightly autobiographical 100 minute piece. However there may be the chance to direct an episode or 13 of a TV show with quality cast, screenwriting and so on.
Hence I recommend Mistresses : Grab First 4 eps of Series 2 : that to my memory I dont think has shown a breast 4 eps into Season 2 - I must see Season 1 now. Not that the breast is a problem, in fact following the #underbelly OR underbelly summize stream, it amazes me how many people want to tweet their disgust/happiness at the double d’s or c’s as they may be on show Monday night downunder. Get over it people, but for those that miss the original Carrie Bradshaw, or read Edith Wharton. Mistresses is quality premium upmarket affair viewing, following 4 english 30/40 somethings screw their life ups, and put them back together and so on so forth.
Now onto Kicks + Talking Shuffling Gadgets
It’s not only the grrls who can be OCD bout shoes… nor Carrie Bradshaw that writes about shopping. Well the aspirational type that doesnt involve $pending. How perfect to blog. So when it comes to desert boots - which i will only quench by getting some esp as Summer is finally finishing - there are the 39 quid perforated charcoal from Asos gr8 value desert boot, then the 69 quid Clark desert boot from the original brand u had as a kid, well i did anyway.. then the 80 quid Fred Perry Byrons and the chart and pound topping at 235 quid Common Projects SS09 Grey Leather and soled Safari boot my fave.

Sorry to make u chuk rather than chukka but maybe a desert boot chukkle. I blame Polyvore. The other half is where the 2009 kix is at - Strapped up from Supra with Death Wish design with classic red/black or the Burgundy finish of their Burgundy Pack from their Premium NS line (ive been wearing the Silver Skytop from the NS line since XMAS and they rox) For some quality and kewl finish - Creative recreation from Karmaloop.com is the way to go - $80US to $130 for the ones pictured… cheaper than their premium line which is double and more the price. OK l8r got work to do.
Straps and Velcro are definitely in for Kix at moment... My faves ere are Creative Recreation Middle/Bottom/Leftish - I like the white hightops with black patent straps and also low tops with velcro in a fresh design style like the Raf Simons Kanye West was wearing yday that cost like 1000 euro 0- while Creative Recreation do em for 80USD :P

The Cigarette Lighter Shuffle in Matte Black + Sterling Silver Clip
It’s pretty fresh eh ? And 4 gigs is schweet, $79US/$129 Downunder.
Also : The new Ipod shuffle with Voice-Over. The shuffle first gen the moment it came out I got one. It was the marijuana gateway apple product and before long I was out buying the Gen 1 Apple Imac 20″ PowerPC which ironically I type on as I dont have bootup discs or ability to fix a bung dvd drive nor the (not meant to mention blah) to fix it. Its been a right workhouse apart from that time the folding table I had it on collapsed as i didnt put it back up right and before my eyes it feel to ground and needed not long after $700 repair, even tho it did boot and work straight after which was impressive. But anyway the new and old shuffles Ive always liked. And more to point i use them alot.
The current shuffle I have as a gift : thankin U! - I use all the time to run, altho it annoys me it doesnt have radio as Im into radio alot. I had radio on the Video Ipod (how quaint does it sound, esp was it specifically called “Ipod with Video”) but Im a big believer in technology either being Big or Small. And the new Shuffle looks like an awesome UK Dunhill or Cartier lighter, and it comes in black. Only things I dont like is it looks hard to fastforward thru..
Do Normal Headphones work on this the smallest music player in the world ? : I think ala iphone they are too custom and white for a black or silver device is wrong. Anyway for $79 in US i reckon they r pretty kewl if fastfwd works. Gr8 for running + travel eh, which i have to do, got a conf call and Melbs tomorrow (got some meeting windows ping me), I shouldnt be blogging. Pressing Publish.
