Geez I have a Nice Family
My bro Jez last year and my fam this year early bday present have chipped in for my yay 60kms+ outside of Melbourne “Regional” MCC membership.. for which he’s a legend.. which for a few hundred and a half dollars u get to attend all sport at MCG - from Grand Final of AFL, Boxing Day Test.. and Melbourne’s first game against Kingers Kangas this Sunday which I’ll be goin along with Cuz @hoopd74 as I pull him away from his Flinders Pier art exhibition which he’s workin on which is vkewl. There’s Dave Kavs Tigers Apr 19 (need to get onto kav to invite to this game, hey kav wanna go!?) @m0nty’s Hawks May 24, @tonestar comin2 Cats as his Swans dont play Dees on the G in 09… and maybe if i know/care4u (ok that may be goin 2far) and u know the difference between smart casual and full suit/tie wedding wear.. ping me with yer AFL team u support for those in Melbourne. (cost is the standard visitor ticket around $27.50 from memory not sure if $ have changed this year)

There is nothing better if u like AFL than drinking out of proper glass (not 4 a weapon against the older patronage next to u) sub $6 Carlton schooners or Crown Lagers. U can even go all out and have the Roast of the Day, or party pies/sausage rolls at half time. Suffice to say it’s the #1 way to see football. Better than a corporate box as the view is better (its not surprising the TV network cameras are in the same space not that they get in way at all)

Evil General turned up for first I remember ever in whole 2 series at Chucks place ! She wont let him find Orion...
Anyway, I’m just thankful for support of my bro for 2008 season, and family for 2009 season. It’s great to rock up with $30 + have enough for admission - a schooner a quarter and the amazing tasting chicken roll outside which is actually fresh, big… (the roast isnt cheap so the chicken roll after is a fave of @nrpaton and myself.. nick hey, lets organise some footy) AFL at the MCG Long room is about the only thing other than certain ppl;) that can get me out of my routine. Reality alot of ppl dont understand is coming into Melbourne, catching up, doing something etc - takes time, costs real money… u have to pack, logistics overload.. but day trip to the footy - fully suited up in wedding wear loafers.. etc well its all good!

I love the idea that the shows creators had to find brief and pay good money to get an Intersect tech spec and schematic written.. .very impressive really the diagrams..
Here’s hoping that 25% deposit on the AG suit I never picked up is still there.. or can be used as credit for a 2009 one. It’s been awhile between new suits.. I’d say early 2003.. and I still want the AG one.. even if it is last season! Fact is I’m a charcoal suit wearer by default.. think its from conditioning of wearing a Melbourne High School Uniform that was charcoal suit, white shirt, burgundy tie, and doc martin nubuck 3 eye or Doc Martin penny loafers in oxblood and black.. When yer school was on Chapel Street… I think it’s where I got my excessive ta$te, which one day will be consumated; Watches… funny u should mention watches..

Basel 2009 Pre-Release Watches Drool : JLC Navy Seals, Blancpain Fathoms, Ulysse Nardin Diver Ltd Edn, Dior, Graham and so on!
Oh to drool, Timezone.com is evil. You find one page with all the pre release watches from the world’s major manufacturers… in the lead up to the world’d largest watch fair; Basel - 2009 edition! Suffice to say very few pictured watches here retail for under $5k USD (apart from a nice bottom right green/black Oris 1970 reissue which is pretty kewl and Oris is cheap) - yay Aussie dollar broke 70cUSD yday! The Average Price of pictured items I’d peg at around $25K.. and that is on the low end..
My Fave Basel 09 watches ere :
- The JLC Navy Seal Diver set - from the nonchrono black ceramic timepiece (prob around $12K AUD discounted makes it the only watch u could save up for on a rainy day, well raining money) to $30K USD or more for the Rose Gold Master version…

- I could go on about the Ferrari California (by I assume Panerai ?) and how good would it be to have the car.. and here is the matching Panerai ! The Porsche watch next to it dont like nearly as much and the Omega for Canadian Olympics in white dial red dial I hate. Not into Omega at all. Its an old boring brand with old boring kitschy James Bond movie extended products. Could be good but needs a Hedi Slimane designing for them. No edge. Pity Dior isnt bigger size but perfect watch for the significant other

- Ashton Kutcher Twitpics in the same week of Team Aniston saying Rock Star Mayer Twittered too much u have @andrewsayer + @lilylauren get 15 minutes on Nova100 this morning with Hughesy talkin bout their twitter originated relationship, they r’nt the only onez playaz.. Then u have the demi moore twitpics by kutcher… anyway back to watches and Obama having a Nap. Damn playa can play the media. More traditional but still modern enough (well not for me) but for yer father:) or lawyer friend…

- The Blancpain 500 Fathoms Diver.. not my fave colour dial - a silver/rhodium/platinum with fluoro numbers and black ceramic dial. Blancpain Fathoms are amazing… such a beautiful reinterpretation. But prefer the basic version in Navy Blue. Not the silver with fluoro. Still rox.

- Bremont is a watch Im looking into not knowing much about it - its second watch centre next to Dior which celebrities like Daniel McPherson like.. (watch is far too small… altho new version is bigger) Bremont is a British designed watch by a team of upncomers who have won some design awards. Checking out. The Bremont pictured has stunning details… Look at the finish on the push buttons… the hands.. the lume…

- Ulysse Nardin Black Seal Diver with Rose Gold - Ltd Edn Diver totally over the top, but bling enough and classic design Id take it.. if slightly small face/diameter.

How About Sub_$1KAUD shipped Welder +/or TW-Steel Watches ?
So they may be mineral crystal and quartz not Swiss automatic design, but ironically quartz keep better time than the automatic 2824 pieces. Hows that ? You pay more in a watch that keeps worse time…

Welder K-24 in middle is 456 euros... by same maker as U-Boat.. as I’ve gone on ad nauseam.. And its the right size being 48mm and bigger than 75% of the $25K-$50K watches above. And a trick with watches is size adds presence. Adds people noticing. Adds impact to the design. Once u r used to big u cant go back said the hooker to the john. Anyways Ill take the Yellow dial Chrono black PVD Welder above as long term u’d keep as a fun summer beach watch.. Or slightly more U-Boatish design but by TW-Steel, released for Basel 2009.. 50mm watch diameter so nice and big! It’s got the colours and materials I like - Black, pvd (not ceramic unfortunately), charcoal.. really like the U-Boat like winder button and attachment.. its just a nice simple design. This watch was only 200-400 euros (the average was closer to 250euro) So it should be cheap even with a price rise..

But which one would u go ? Assuming there wasnt the money for the U-Boat Flightdeck 50 MB I want.. should I save for the Welder or the TW-Steel ? Neither is sold’ere so I have to buy site unseen
! Which one do u like.. and price irrespective.. which of the big watche$ do u like! ?

Oh, and supposedly via blog analyziz I’m a doer, so I better go off and do my influence tracking for the modelling set.
