Every day u don’t post, the links, photos, videos, torrents, images, stories, tidbits, tweets, conspiracy theories, tips, recommendations, reviews, insights, minutae, obsessions, products, rants all begin to pile up, accumulate, and paginate, creating just too damn much Self Generated Content or SGC Overload; 4k feeds followed creating 7k daily new items, leading to a manually parsed 30 google reader manicured items - 15% of which are twittered, all of which are piped into friendfeed. That then feeds facebook which I dont even visit but is like John Henry from Sarah Connor Chronicles, an improved robot ‘me’ of the future. So 2summarise the week, here’s some SGC Overload.
Apologies : cuttingnpasting links from friendfeed has broken the html formatting, will need to try something else next time..

“We have seen that some people that we dont know have started collecting donations for us, so we can pay those silly fines. We firmly ask you NOT to do this. Do not gather or send any money. We do not want them since we will not pay any fines!
If you really want to help out, here is a list: * Seed those torrents a little bit more than you usually do! * Buy a t-shirt and show the world where your sympathy is. * If you live in Europe, vote in the election for the EU parliament in June. * Continue to build the internets! Start more bittorrent sites, blog more, start your own lobby group, create, remix, mash up and continue to grow more heads on this amazing hydra that we know as the internets! * Do not be afraid of using the network. Invite your friends to this and other file sharing systems. Calm people down if they’re upset. We need to stay united. And say it loud say it proud! We are all The Pirate Bay!” : The Pirate Bay - The world’s largest BitTorrent tracker

“If you’ve been waiting for the inevitable Twitter backlash, the fun starts now. Sure, CNN ran an “is there a Twitter backlash?” story last month. But for those of us who work in the media, we knew the question mark in the headline meant the answer was “No.” Today, as Oprah tweets on TV, the New York Observer made it official: “The backlash begins.” You don’t read the Observer, but every status-obsessed journalist in Manhattan does. It’s now officially cool to do a Twitter Backlash story.
Here’s how it works:
1. The Observer says there’s a backlash.
2. A Gartner analyst uses the article to say there’s a media backlash to Twitter. He’s right: It’s in the Observer, which means that it will be repeated by the most trend-conscious journalists all over Manhattan. Didn’t you know about the Twitter backlash? It was in the Observer.
3. Many of those journalists will now quote Gartner, a widely respected technology analyst firm, that there’s a Twitter backlash.
4. The backlash topic will become a hot”
CSI has gone dark + spacey (worth a watch) : The Beast with Patrick Swayze is getting close to The Wire + Southland is a pretty good new Cop Show. Better off Ted with Portia De Rossi is good but Party Down is getting so fn funny it makes Entourage appear like the dumbest no laugh comedy eva. And Chuck episodes keep raising the stakes !
